Louie Tangalakis the President of Elias Construction Company is a Southern California native who started his construction career working for a renowned architect based in Beverly Hills. Louie started out on the crew as an apprentice carpenter building and renovating homes in some of the most exclusive neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Louie then began working directly under the principle architect as job superintendent servicing his elite clientele for several years.

In 1982 Louie went out on his own performing kitchen and bathroom renovations and other home improvements on the Westside and the Valley. By the late 80’s Louie was planning the construction of his first new construction project. The project a two-story southwest style house on a small hillside lot in the Mount Washington area of Los Angeles. The planning and design of the project and building permit process gave Louie valuable experience navigating through the labyrinth of clearances and requirements needed to get final project approval.

Louie continued building new homes in the hillsides and on the flat lands of the Los Angeles, performing more extreme renovations, remodels and additions for his growing client base. His building experience includes a broad range of home styles from the Contemporary, Modern to transitional view homes, Classis beach cottage, California Spanish, Mediterranean style and Country Ranch. Two- and three-story additions, basement construction, kitchen and bathroom renovations, ocean front decks, house moving, horse stables, foundation underpinning and medical office space. Louie and his crews have renovated or built practically everything.

Environmentally friendly building is nothing new to Louie Tangalakis. His experience building and installing solar panels began as early as the 1970’s, many of his early renovations of older homes in the area included the use of reclaimed building materials and products to match or blend with existing architectural elements of the project. Although materials and technology in construction has evolved over the years, Louie has been able to improve upon and incorporate the latest products into his projects.
